The first module of a single two-part masterclass within FABER FREQUENCIES, Bookolica’s music and sound strand that links training, research, installations, live performance and electronics. Luca Vargiu introduces Ableton Live as an environment for production, composition and performance, working on the relationship between software, controllers, instruments and workflows. The module alternates explanation and hands-on demonstration, showing how to organise technology around a real musical process and turn an idea into sound material, structure and performance.
The second module of the full masterclass within FABER FREQUENCIES. Marcello Ruggiu guides participants through creative work with Ableton Live, exploring workflow, sound design, developing ideas and performance. The software becomes an active part of music writing and live practice, through a personal and flexible method that brings together technique, creativity and expressive possibilities. The module completes the path begun in the morning, taking the work towards the creative and performative use of the instrument.
