La tregua di Primo Levi

La tregua (The Truce) is a theatre workshop for students that uses Primo Levi’s text as living material for stage work. Through exercises in voice, presence, movement, improvisation and relationship, participants explore the move from page to stage, learning to recognise the rhythm, images, tensions and points of view in the text. The workshop is not simply a reading or interpretation of the book, but a hands-on experience in which literature becomes action: words and situations are worked through with the body, given back through the voice and shared with the group. At its centre are memory, return, disorientation and the rebuilding of experience, as well as theatre’s ability to make a complex text shareable without simplifying it.
