Femmenella explores the point where desire, identity and belonging clash with the unwritten rules of a community. Through the story of Modesto and Andrea, Davide Piras sets intimacy against judgement and personal freedom against social pressure, showing how radical it can be to refuse an imposed identity. In conversation with Sara Puggioni, the novel opens a discussion on what happens when being yourself means breaking the order of expectations and finding new words to tell your own story.
