Chi controlla il futuro? is one of the key events of Bookolica 2026. Matteo Flora, in conversation with Raffaele Angius, explores the point where artificial intelligence, security, information and surveillance stop being specialist topics and become everyday questions of freedom and power. Who sets the rules of the systems we use? Who decides what we can see, do or choose? When do tools designed to protect us also become instruments of control? And how much are we willing to give up in the name of security, efficiency or convenience? The discussion links Flora’s work on digital architectures and on the mechanisms that steer behaviour and decisions with Angius’s journalistic perspective on surveillance, source protection, digital rights and the use of technology by public and private actors.
